Get To Know James
I believe in second chances. We all fall short at times, but it takes courage, dedication, and patience to work through hard times. I am here to help those who desire to make change happen. Over the last 10 years I have had the pleasure of working with children, teens, young adults, couples, and families. I have served those who have experienced hurt, loss, anxiety, depression, anger, abuse, and trauma through insights provided by the word of God. There is a reward for those who pursue truth and seek healing through setbacks. I encourage clients to consistently apply what they learn to maintain lasting joy.
I have completed a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and I am working towards licensure in Kansas and Missouri. I believe that facilitating the renewal of the mind according to the word of God is key to transformation from lifestyles characterized by depression and anxiety to joy and hope for tomorrow. I also believe that God created the family unit to mirror and to model his unconditional love. Leading families through restoration can be achieved through patience, (sometimes) pain, and persistence to grow in love toward each family member.
Currently pursuing a Doctor of Education, I am conducting research on resilience and how it directly impacts the Christian community. I am called to be a pastor, professor and professional counselor. Discipleship, training, and strengthening believers to overcome life’s obstacles and experiencing abundant life are things I am passionate about.
